PHOTOGRAPHER
Alongside his first job as a journalist, Olivier Joly has been nurturing his taste for images for many years, carrying out long-term photographic work on the roads of the world, from Madagascar to Iceland, via Patagonia.
His photo reports were first published in magazines in France and abroad by the Explorer and Hoaqui agencies. This is how he created his first covers for GEO, Terre Sauvage ou Grands Reportages.
A surveyor of great geographical spaces and human intimacies, over the years his intimate compass has stubbornly pointed towards the ends of the world, the cold, windy lands, the barren moors, the glacial valleys, the lost lakes, the forgotten forests, the desert plateaus… M Le Magazine du Monde, Le Temps, T Magazine, Animan have published his travel reports, usually accompanied by his stories.
Taking a unique look at the link between these lands of strong character and the people who inhabit them, he is now a regular contributor to GEO France magazine, for which he has produced several reports in Iceland, Wales and Scotland.
